Programs
Western Economics is especially proud of its Honors Program and Graduate Program. Each program is challenging and insists on achieving high standards while providing exciting opportunities and range of studies for its students.
The Honors Program is designed for students who can maintain high grades and who have a desire to specialize in Economics as undergraduates. Its Economics 4400E course develops necessary skills and techniques to produce a substantive research project required in the students' final year. As well as an Honors Specialization in Economics, the Department also offers Honors specializations in Global Economics and in Economics, Politics and Philosophy.
The Graduate Program offers a M.A. degree and a Ph.D. degree that attracts students worldwide. It challenges students to become world-class leaders, academics, policymakers, private and public leaders.
Ph.D. Job Candidates lists students about to enter the job market, along with their fields, curriculum vitae and research papers.
