Department

 

The Department of Economics has a distinguished history of Teaching and Research at Western University. For many years, Mark K. Inman led the Department. Its current academic profile, however, began to take shape in the mid-1960s under the auspices of Grant Reuber. Today, there are 30 full-time Faculty members, many part-time instructors, and numerous Fellows & Visitors in the Department. Its dynamic website includes a comprehensive directory of resources supporting faculty and students in their pursuit of knowledge. The Economics Newsletter serves as a communication tool providing information on activities in the Department, the University and the wider economic community. Fall 2010 saw the launch of our Alumni Portal, a means of keeping alumni in touch with each other and Western Economics.
